What You Need: Jumper cables and another car with a good battery, or a portable jump starter.
Steps:

- Turn off both cars.
- Connect jumper cables:
- Red cable to the positive (+) terminal of your dead battery.

- Black cable to the negative (-) terminal of the good battery.
- Other black end to a metal part on your car’s engine, away from the battery.
- Start working car and wait for few minutes.
- Try to start your Hyundai car. If it works, let it run for 15 to 20 minutes or drive it to charge your battery.
- Remove cables in reverse order: black from engine, black from good battery, red from good battery, red from dead battery.
Test the Battery:
- Go to an automobile shop to check the battery’s health (many people do this free). A good battery shows about 12.6 volts when the car is off.
Charge the Battery:
- If the battery is okay but weak, use a battery charger. Connect it according to the charger's instructions and charge it for a few hours.
